We are pleased to announce the newest addition to our platform for Second Medical Opinion, Prof. Rupert Bartsch, MD. In 2002, he joined the Clinical Division of Oncology at the Medical University of Vienna where he worked closely with other breast cancer specialists within the Austrian Breast and Colorectal Study Group (ABCSG). From 2009 to 2010, he was the director of the breast center at the Elisabethinen Hospital Linz. Since 2010, he is an associate professor of medicine at the Medical University of Vienna and currently serve as the director of the metastatic breast cancer program and co-director of the brain metastases program. Apart from clinical research in the field of breast cancer and brain metastases, his main scientific interest is the identification of resistance mechanisms to targeted therapies.
